Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules governing the use of the Signalyn platform and Services provided by Signalyn Ltd ("Signalyn", "we", "us", or "our"). This AUP forms part of our Terms of Service. By using the Services, you agree to comply with this AUP.
1. Permitted Use
The Services are provided for legitimate business purposes, specifically to support sales floor management, team performance monitoring, and related operational functions within your organisation. You may use the Services only in accordance with these purposes and applicable law.
2. Prohibited Activities
You must not use the Services to:
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation;
- Transmit, store, or process any data that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable;
- Infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other legal rights of any person;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Services, other accounts, or connected systems;
- Introduce viruses, malware, or any other malicious or harmful code;
- Conduct denial-of-service attacks or any activity that disrupts or degrades the performance of the Services;
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Services without our prior written consent;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform;
- Resell, sublicense, or otherwise make the Services available to third parties without our written authorisation;
- Use the Services to process personal data in a manner that violates applicable data protection law, including UK GDPR;
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
- Use the Services for any purpose that competes with Signalyn's business without prior written consent.
3. Data Responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring that any personal data you upload, import, or process through the Services has been collected lawfully and that you have a valid legal basis for processing it. You must not upload sensitive personal data (as defined under UK GDPR) unless you have appropriate safeguards in place and have notified us in advance.
4. Security Obligations
You must take reasonable steps to ensure that your account credentials are kept secure and not shared with unauthorised individuals. You are responsible for all activity conducted under your account. You must promptly notify us of any suspected security breach or unauthorised use at security@signalyn.io.
5. Monitoring and Enforcement
We reserve the right to monitor use of the Services to ensure compliance with this AUP. If we reasonably believe that you are in breach of this AUP, we may:
- Issue a warning;
- Temporarily suspend your access to the Services;
- Permanently terminate your account;
- Report the activity to relevant law enforcement authorities.
We will endeavour to provide reasonable notice before taking action, except where the breach poses an immediate risk to the security or integrity of the Services or other users.
6. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any use of the Services that violates this AUP, please report it to us at security@signalyn.io.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. Continued use of the Services after any changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised AUP.
